Suggested outline: Pawpaw is a tree like herb growing from 2m to 10m in height and the trunk about 20cm around narrowing a crown of leaves. stem suckers often develop but branch only when the terminal bud is damaged. the trunk contain soft fibrous wood.
- Seed preparation
collect and select health ripe pawpaw seed clean themand dry them

prepare the garden early before the set off of the heavy rains dig holes 2 to 3 weeks before planting and add manure
- Planting
raise seedlings in a nursery bed or sow directly in the garden where the plant is wanted dig and refill holes 60cm wide and 60cm wide spacing should be 2m -4m apart
- Weeding
weeding is esential and care need tobe taken not to damage the roots of the young plants weed around the stem or just slash whenever the weed grows
- Harvesting
harvest ripe pawpaws the fruits begin to ripen when it turns yellow and should then be harvested for market and for home use the fruit can be harvested when fully ripe
- Post Harvest Handling
can he eaten fresh dried juice
